Domingo passado houve aqui em Boston o jogo de futebol feminino entre o time do Boston Breakers e o Western New York Flash. O time do Western New York Flash é o novo time da jogadora Brasileira, Marta que já recebeu o premio de melhor jogadora do mundo seis vezes. Como é incrível ver como o povo Americano aprecia o futebol feminino, o estadio estava repleto de familias e seus filhos. Realmente é muito prazeroso ver uma torcida tão encantada com os dribles de Marta, a cada jogada dela eu ouvia frases do tipo: “nossa como ela tem confiante com as bola nos pés", ou "olha a desenvoltura dela". E prazeroso ver nossa Brasileira Marta encantando os estrangeiros e mostrando que o Brasil tem muita força. É uma pena que o futebol feminino ainda não é tão reconhecido em no nosso Brasil.
O final do jogo foi 2x2 com um dos gols do Flash marcado pela Marta.

Last Sunday there was a women's soccer game between Boston Breakers and Western New York Flash. marta, the famous Brazilian player who has been named the best women's soccer player in the world, played for the Flash. It is amazing how much the American people enjoy women's soccer.
The final score was 2 to 2 and Marta was one of the best players.

DC é uma cidade metropolitana, onde você pode encontrar muitas coisas interessantes para fazer, especialmente se você gosta de museus e história.

E o mais importante: não jogue fora o seu bilhete, voce irá precisar dele para sair da sua estação de destino.

4. Go to the Smithsonian Museums – which includes a group of 16 separate museums. Most of them are located in the National Mall and they have free admission.
5. Visit the Capitol - The United States Capitol is the meeting place of the United States Congress, the legislature of the federal government of the United States.
Tourist Tips
When using the metro fare vending machines; be sure you know where you are going to get off. The city is divided into zones and ticket prices vary. Buy a ticket to your destination. If you are planning to stay for more than a day, you can buy a smart card. These are good for a day or a week. Don’t throw away your tickets as you will need it at the next station.
If you decide to take a taxi and has lots of bags, be advised that the taxi drivers charge 0.50 for each bag they handle and each bag placed in the truck cost US$ 2.00. Also each additional passenger costs 1.50.
If you take a taxi from the airport make sure you know where your hotel or accommodation is located. Each stated (Maryland, Virginia and D.C.) has its own taxi line. A cab with a Virginia plate doesn’t take you to Maryland, so don’t get frustrated if someone that is behind you in the taxi line takes the cab in front of you!

No último dia 04 de Julho foi comemorado aqui nos Estados Unidos o Dia da Independência, mais conhecido como 4 de Julho, um dos principais feriados dos Estados Unidos. Nesta data o povo Americano comemora a aprovação da Declaração de Independência assinada em 4 de julho de 1776, declarando a independência do Reino da Grã-Bretanha. Sendo este um feriado muito importante é muito comum por aqui muitas celebraçãoes e como o feriado é durante o verão as celebrações estão associadas com fogos de artifício, desfiles, churrascos, carnavais, feiras, piqueniques, shows, jogos de baseball, reuniões familiares, discursos políticos e cerimônias.

Aqui em Boston, capital de Massachusetts ( uma das 13 colonias) o 4 de Julho é um dos feriados mais celebrados do no. É aqui onde é feita a maior e tradicional queima de fogos, e também o evento de música Boston Pops que precede a queima de fogos. Pessoas de diferentes partes do estado e também de for a vem prestigiar este famoso evento. Muita gente chegar super cedo para pegar os melhores lugares em frente ao palco. E lá o pessoal acampa, faz pic nic e passam o dia a espera do show que começa por volta das 6 da tarde e a queima de fogos que começa as 10:30. Muitas pessoas preferem acampar a beira do rio onde a brisa fresca do rio refresca o calor de quase 35 C que costuma fazer nesta época do ano. Estas são algumas imagens que eu registrei no último dia 04 de Julho aqui em Boston.

Last Monday July 04 was celebrated here in the US the Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July. 4Th July is a a federal holiday in the United States that commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. The 4th of July is one of the most important holidays for the American people. Many families travels around the country and as the holiday is during the summers the celebrations are associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches and ceremonies.
The Independence of the United States was conquered after many revolutions and the most important of those was the American Revolution, that resulted in the legal separation of the Thirteen Colonies from Great Britain occurred on July 2, 1776. In July 4, 1776 the Declaration of Independence, a statement explaining this decision, which had been prepared by a Committee of Five, with Thomas Jefferson as its principal author was revised and signed. It resulted in one of the most celebrated days in the US history.
The 13 colonies were: Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts Bay, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.
July 4th or Independence Day is one of the most celebrated days in Greater Boston. There are events everywhere. One of the most important 4th July events is placed in the Esplanade, area along the Charles River. That is the place of the Boston traditional fireworks and Boston Pops that is a musical event that precede the fireworks. People from everywhere in Massachusetts and also from different parts of New England come to participate of all the events. Some people do picnic along the Charles River, and others rather to stay near to the stage to watch the famous Boston Pops.
