O CFDA - Conselho de Designers de Moda da América é uma organização de moda e designers de acessórios sem fins lucrativos, e é uma das mais importantes da América . Todo ano eles selecionam profissionais que foram destaques no mundo da moda. Eles indicam três profissionais de cada categoria, como designer de moda feminine, designer de acessórios, etc A divulgação dos vencedores é realizada em um grande evento em NYC no mes de Junho de cada ano. O CFDA Awards é como se fosse o Oscar da Moda.  Onde os mais notaveis  do mundo fashion são premiados. Algumas categorias especiais ja tem-se um ganhador bem antes da da grande festa de entrega dos premios, como a categoria Fashion Icon Award que este ano foi nada mais nada menos que a esfuziante Lady Gaga. Além de realizar o  CFDA Fashion Awards anual, a organização compromete-se a apoiar o desenvolvimento de futuros designers da indústria da moda Americana. The CFDA - Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. is a not-for-profit trade association of America’s foremost fashion and accessory designers. Every year they select professionals who are highlighted in the fashion business. They nominate three professionals for each category such as women’s wear designer, accessory designer, etc. They announce the award winners in a big event in NYC in June every year. CFDA is American fashion's version of the Oscars. There are some categories that they have already announced the winner this March 17, such as the  Fashion Icon Award category that this year the winner was the exotic singer Lady Gaga.  

 In addition to hosting the annual CFDA Fashion Awards, the organization is committed to nurturing the development of the American fashion industry’s future designers.
